The Short Version
- Logo design Orlando business owners can rely on, handled one-on-one by me, Kenal Louis. No account manager, no handoff, no rotating team.
- The work runs through an eight-step framework: discovery, hand sketches, typography testing, grayscale prototypes, color and tone testing, final selection, presentation, and package delivery.
- Two logo packages: $1,000 to develop a logo from a sketch or concept you already have, $2,000 to build one from scratch. Both include unlimited revisions and 100% exclusive ownership rights.
- You leave with 5 high-resolution file formats, a signed and notarized ownership release, and (in Package 2) a brand guide showing exactly how to use your mark.
- Florida is home. I grew up in West Palm Beach, I have served clients in the Orlando area, and I work with businesses nationally.
What Should You Look for in a Professional Logo Designer?
Look for a designer who can explain why a visual choice works, not just show you that it looks nice. That single filter eliminates most of the field.
Design is not art. Art is expressive, personal, and driven by the artist’s own style. Design is technical, calculated, and built around your business intent, your audience, and where the mark will actually be used. I wear both hats, and I keep them separate. When I am working on your brand, creative expression serves a defined business purpose or it does not make the cut.
Beyond that, five things are worth checking before you hire anyone:
- Do you speak to the person doing the work? If your feedback passes through a coordinator, detail gets lost in translation. I work with clients directly by phone, text, Zoom, Google Meet, and screen share.
- Is the concept original, or is it a template with your name on it? I create original design concepts and I do not intentionally copy another brand’s design.
- Do you own the result outright? Ownership should be documented, not assumed.
- Do you get usable files, or one flat image? A logo you cannot scale, print, or embroider is a problem waiting for a deadline.
- Will they tell you when an idea is weak? You hired expertise. A designer who only agrees with you is not giving you expertise.
That last one matters more than people expect. I do not dictate the process and I do not take feedback as an insult. I listen, explain what works and why, and keep the confidence to recommend a stronger solution when I see one.

Kenal Louis
Branding Design Pro — Creator & Logo Designer
I grew up in West Palm Beach. Florida shaped how I see brands: loud markets, heavy tourism traffic, businesses that live or die on whether a stranger notices them from across a parking lot.
I have served clients in the Orlando area, and I work with businesses across the state and nationally. My West Palm Beach and Miami logo design pages cover the same service for those markets.
One South Florida project is worth describing, because it shows what a logo does once it stops living on a screen.
The business had no logo and needed a real visual presence. I designed the mark, rebranded the website, and built out the pieces the identity had to survive on: printed and digital flyers, social and advertising graphics, Pinterest and YouTube campaign visuals, webpage graphics, infographics, and truck decal wrap designs.
Years later, clients in the Miami area told me they recognized Evergreen’s trucks on the road. That is the part of branding Orlando business owners tend to underestimate. The logo was not the deliverable. The recognition was.
Evergreen Junk Removal, owned by Paul, first contacted me around 2015.
A Quick Note About Me
When I am not working on client projects, I create digital artworks and traditional line drawings. A lot of what I make gets shared on my @Instagram page.

Logo Design Steps
What the LOGO DESIGN PROCESS LOOKS LIKE
Every framework is an essential part of the process to create a logo that is meaningful, professional, and aligned with your vision.
More On The Logo Packages
After taking a look at both logo packages, book a free consultation with me. Let's discuss your vision and how we can work together to start building a visual identity for your business. I do offer more than a logo, so if you are at the stage where you will need marketing, we will have a conversation about the solutions specific to your niche and industry.
What Is the Typical Process for Creating a Custom Business Logo?
A custom logo is built in eight defined steps, moving from research to hand sketches to grayscale prototypes, and only then into color. Color comes last on purpose, because a mark that only works in color is a mark that will fail somewhere.
Here is the full framework I run for every project.
Framework 01: Logo Discovery
After the agreement is signed and the deposit is paid, you and I get on a discovery call. I ask about your target audience’s age range, demographics, and psychographics. I ask why you are starting now. I ask about your vision, any existing concept or tagline, the assets and collateral you will need, and your industry context. If you do not have a concept yet, you and I build one together.
This is where most cheap logo work goes wrong. Without discovery, a designer is decorating. With it, the work is solving a defined problem.
Framework 02: Sketch Concepts
I take everything from discovery, build research and inspiration boards, and then draw. Not on a screen first. On paper.
I present hand-drawn rough compositional sketches to test structures and learn what you respond to. Sketching is fast and cheap, which means being wrong is quick and cheap instead of slow and expensive.
Your reactions here tell me more than any brief.
Framework 03: Typography and Font Testing
Type is where a logo quietly signals its category. A serif with sharp entry strokes reads classic. A wide geometric sans reads modern and industrial. The wrong pairing makes a premium product look like a discount one.
I test typefaces against your brand personality and the applications you will actually use, then narrow to the ones that hold up at small sizes and at street distance. Package 2 covers up to 2+ font purchase licenses so your type is properly licensed, not borrowed.
Framework 04: Grayscale Prototype Designs
Every serious concept gets built in grayscale before it ever sees color. If the mark does not hold up in black and white, color is only hiding a structural problem.
This step also protects you later. Your logo will end up on a fax-quality form, an embroidered polo, a one-color stamp, a vehicle wrap, and a favicon. Grayscale is the stress test.
Framework 05: Color and Tone Testing
Color is applied last and deliberately. Research in the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science shows that color shapes perception of a brand’s personality, with different hues pushing an identity toward excitement, competence, or sophistication.
I test palettes against your positioning, then check them across backgrounds, print behavior, and digital screens. You get a full-color version plus two grayscale or black-and-white versions in both packages.
Framework 06: The Right Logo Choice
This is a conversation, not a delivery. You and I narrow the field together through a feedback loop of options, revisions, and professional guidance until you have a final direction you feel confident choosing.
Revisions are unlimited in both packages. That is not a marketing line. It is how I make sure you are not settling.
Framework 07: Logo Design Presentation
Once the direction is locked, I present the finished mark in context: on backgrounds, at multiple scales, and in the applications relevant to your business.
Package 2 includes up to four Zoom screen-share sessions, so you see the reasoning, not just the result.
Seeing your mark on the surfaces it will live on is the difference between approving a picture and approving a brand.
Framework 08: Logo Package Deliverables
You receive your final files in 5 high-resolution formats (SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF, AI), transferred by Google Drive, email, or Dropbox. Package 2 adds a PDF brand guide book with color codes and logo use guidance.
You also receive 100% exclusive unlimited rights of ownership and a signed and notarized full ownership release form. I keep your project files permanently. If your device fails or you lose your files years from now, I will resend them at no charge.
How Much Does a Custom Logo Generally Cost?
A custom logo from an experienced designer generally runs from several hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on whether you are refining an existing concept or building an identity from nothing.
My pricing sits at $1,000 and $2,000, and the difference between them is where the work starts, not how much effort goes in.
There is a wider market below that, and it is worth being honest about the tradeoff. Low-cost design often comes with weak communication, generic templates, unclear ownership, and work quietly sold to more than one business. I have seen ad creative resold to direct competitors. That is not a bargain. That is a differentiation problem you paid for.
On the other side, 32 percentage points of higher revenue growth separated top-quartile design performers from their industry peers in McKinsey’s study of 300 public companies over five years. That is a correlation across large companies, not a promise about your business. What it does establish is that design sits closer to business performance than most owners assume.
If You Need More Than a Logo
A logo is one asset, not a complete identity. Most owners also need a color system, typography rules, application guidance, and the launch assets that carry the brand into the market.
Full branding packages commonly range from $5,000 to $12,000+ depending on deliverables, and standalone website design starts at $3,000. Every website is quoted individually after a scope discussion so you get a clear proposal before work begins.
I do not believe in a universal package. A therapist, an automotive shop, and a CBD product business need different assets, different constraints, and different decisions. You and I sort out which ones you actually need on the call.

What Makes a Logo Actually Work?
A logo works when it is distinctive, legible everywhere it will appear, and consistent with everything else your brand puts out. Those three conditions do more than aesthetics ever will.
Distinctive beats clever. An analysis of 597 logos published in Harvard Business Review found that descriptive logos, meaning marks with visual elements that signal what the business actually does, generally outperform abstract ones in shaping brand perception. The exception is a business whose category carries unpleasant associations, where abstraction is the smarter move. This is a judgment call, and it is one of the things discovery is for.
Legible beats detailed. A mark has to survive a 3-inch business card, a 40-foot building sign, an embroidered hat, and a browser tab. Detail that reads beautifully on your monitor turns to mud at 16 pixels.
Consistent beats loud. A widely cited industry report links consistent presentation of a brand to revenue increases of up to 33%. Again, that is a survey finding about brand systems, not a guarantee for any one business. But it explains why I include a brand guide in Package 2 rather than handing over files and disappearing.
An automobile brand does not put bread in its logo. Identity has to match reality. When your mark, your colors, your type, and your message all agree with each other, people trust you faster.
Why a Strong Logo Design Matters From Day One

Haircare Branding: Logo, Label Design, Display Ad, Banner

Why Choose One Designer Over a Crowdsourced Marketplace?
You choose one designer when you want accountability, context, and someone who remembers the conversation you had three weeks ago.
I provide a one-on-one custom design process rather than a crowdsourced concept marketplace where dozens of people race the same idea with no discovery call and no relationship. Those platforms optimize for volume. Your brand is not a volume problem.
What one-on-one actually gets you:
I take on roughly four to six clients a month. That number is deliberate. It is the volume at which I can still answer the phone.
What Do You Own When the Logo Is Finished?
You own the logo outright. 100% exclusive unlimited rights of ownership, backed by a signed and notarized full ownership release form.
That release is a trust-building practice I adopted after hearing from clients whose previous designer disappeared mid-project or left ownership ambiguous. It confirms in writing that the design is yours after payment and that I retain no ownership stake.
A few practical notes on what that ownership means:
- Files. You receive 5 high-resolution formats, including editable vector files, so any printer, embroiderer, or sign shop can work with your mark.
- Trademark support. The USPTO requires a clear trademark drawing of your mark as part of an application, and your vector files serve that purpose. Package 2 includes support until your trademark is filed and pending. If you are working with an IP attorney and a design adjustment is needed, such as a name change, I generally make that adjustment at no additional charge.
- What I am not. I am a designer, not an attorney. I do not provide legal advice, trademark clearance, or any assurance that a name or mark is legally available or protectable. That work belongs with a qualified IP professional.
- Portfolio ethics. If you want to retain a substantial portion of a pre-existing design, I will not claim full authorship of it and I will not put it in my portfolio.
What Do Past Clients Say About Working With Me?
Clients most often mention two things: that I stayed with the project through direction changes, and that I explained the reasoning instead of just delivering files.
“If you are looking for a branding and design professional who will truly stay with you through the entire creative process, look no further than Kenal. What started as one vision completely pivoted mid-project once my photography came together and the whole direction changed. Kenal never flinched. He stayed with me through every rendition, every revision, every ‘what if we tried this instead,’ with patience, professionalism, and genuine investment in getting it right. The result is a logo I am absolutely in love with. It reflects exactly who I am and the brand I’ve been building.”
Jennifer St. Clair, eXp Realty of California, San Diego
Jennifer came to me with an AI-generated logo that felt like a sticker rather than a durable personal brand. Midway through, a brand photoshoot clarified an entirely different visual direction. I worked through the pivot instead of forcing the original concept. That is what unlimited revisions are for.
“Working with Kenal was an absolute pleasure. He was very prompt and professional with the entire process from beginning to end. I was impressed and surprised to see how creative Kenal was with bringing my vision to life after a few phone conversations. He was also beyond helpful with giving advice and guidance in areas of this project that I wasn’t well versed.”
Jessied Boyce, saxophonist, Atlanta
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about this business. Mr. Louis was phenomenal. He was professional, met deadlines, stayed true to my vision and was extremely patient through all of my last minute changes. I was more than pleased with the final product. Definitely exceeded my expectations.”
Amani Fields, Twisted Rootz

Where Can You Find Reputable Logo Design Services in Orlando?
Start with designers who show a real portfolio, publish their process, and let you speak to the person who will do the work. Those three signals separate a studio from a storefront.
When you are comparing options for Orlando graphic design work, ask each one:
- Can I see finished projects in the industry I am in?
- Who exactly is designing my logo, and can I talk to them before I pay?
- What happens if I do not like the first round?
- What do I own at the end, and is it in writing?
- Do I get a brand guide, or just files?
I put my answers to all five on this page on purpose. Any Orlando graphic designer worth hiring should be willing to do the same.
If you found this page searching for Orlando logo design, Orlando brand identity work, or branding design Orlando services, the next step is a conversation. Book a Zoom call and I will walk you through the process in detail. No pressure, just clarity. You share your goals, set expectations, and get real answers from the designer who will actually be doing your work.
I also handle full brand identity design when a logo alone is not enough: packaging, labels, product visuals, 3D renders, mockups, social templates, and website design.

A custom logo from an experienced designer generally runs from several hundred dollars to several thousand, depending on whether you are refining an existing concept or building an identity from nothing. My pricing sits at two fixed points: $1,000 to develop a logo from a sketch or concept you already have, and $2,000 to build one from scratch.
Neither package carries hidden or additional fees. What you see is the full investment, and both include unlimited revisions.
The difference is where the work starts, not how much care goes into it. Logo Package 1 at $1,000 develops a sketch, drawing, or composition you already have, and includes 4 to 6 initial designs built from your concept with a 7 to 14 day turnaround.
Logo Package 2 at $2,000 builds the identity from scratch. It includes 9 to 12 initial designs, up to 4 Zoom screen-share sessions, typeface and typography covering up to 2+ font purchase licenses, a PDF brand guide book with color codes, and support until your trademark is filed and pending. Turnaround is 14 to 30 days.
Both packages include unlimited revisions, 100% exclusive unlimited rights of ownership, a signed and notarized full ownership release form, and 5 high-resolution file formats.

Discovery happens on a call after the agreement is signed and the deposit is paid. I ask about your audience, your reasons for starting now, your industry, and the assets you will need. If you do not have a concept yet, you and I build one together.
Look for a designer who can explain why a visual choice works, not just show you that it looks nice. That single filter eliminates most of the field.
Beyond that, check five things before you hire anyone: whether you speak directly to the person doing the work, whether the concept is original rather than a template with your name on it, whether ownership is documented in writing, whether you receive usable vector files rather than one flat image, and whether the designer will tell you when an idea is weak. You hired expertise. A designer who only agrees with you is not giving you expertise.
You can see the finished work on my logo design portfolio before you ever book a call.
Start with designers who show a real portfolio, publish their process, and let you speak to the person who will do the work. Those three signals separate a studio from a storefront.
Ask each option the same questions: Can I see finished projects in my industry? Who exactly is designing my logo, and can I talk to them before I pay? What happens if I do not like the first round? What do I own at the end, and is it in writing? Do I get a brand guide, or just files? I have published my answers to all five on this page on purpose.
Yes. I have served clients in the Orlando area and I work with businesses across Florida and nationally. I grew up in West Palm Beach, so Florida markets are familiar territory rather than a new region on a map.
The process is built to work whether we meet locally or collaborate remotely through phone, text, Zoom, Google Meet, screen sharing, and organized feedback. I also serve West Palm Beach and Miami logo design clients through the same process.
Logo Package 1 has a 7 to 14 day turnaround and Logo Package 2 has a 14 to 30 day turnaround. The variable is usually how quickly feedback comes back to me, not how quickly I can design.
I set a realistic, defined deadline at the start of every project. That matters more than people expect. Without a schedule, projects drag, lose momentum, and become harder to finish, especially when you already have an audience waiting on the launch.
Unlimited revisions, in both packages. That is not a marketing line. It is how I make sure you are not settling for something that is close enough.
I do not dictate the process and I do not treat feedback as an insult. We work through a loop of conversations, visual options, revisions, and professional guidance until you have a direction you feel confident choosing. If the direction changes halfway through, that is normal, and it is exactly what unlimited revisions are for.
You own the logo outright. Both packages include 100% exclusive unlimited rights of ownership, backed by a signed and notarized full ownership release form confirming that the design is yours after payment and that I retain no ownership stake.
I adopted that notarized release after hearing from clients whose previous designer disappeared mid-project or left ownership ambiguous. It removes the question entirely.
You receive 5 high-resolution file formats: SVG, PNG, JPG, PDF, and AI. Files are transferred by Google Drive, email, or Dropbox.
You also receive a full-color version plus 2 grayscale or black-and-white versions, so your mark works on a printed form, an embroidered polo, a one-color stamp, a vehicle wrap, and a browser tab. I keep your project files permanently. If your device fails or you lose your files years from now, I will resend them at no charge.
I support the design side of it. Logo Package 2 includes support until your trademark is filed and pending, and your vector files serve as the clear drawing of the mark that an application requires. If you are working with an IP attorney and a design adjustment is needed, such as a name change, I generally make that adjustment at no additional charge.
To be clear about the boundary: I am a designer, not an attorney. I do not provide legal advice, trademark clearance, or any assurance that a name or mark is legally available or protectable. That work belongs with a qualified IP professional.
Yes. Rebranding does not always mean abandoning your existing identity. I review what customers already recognize, what still serves the business, and what has become limiting, then evolve the mark and visual system so it feels more relevant and aligned with where the business is heading.
When a mark was improvised, generated by AI, or made by a friend, I usually recommend a fresh concept process instead of patching the old one. If you want to retain a substantial portion of a pre-existing design, I will not claim full authorship of it and I will not put it in my portfolio.
A logo is one asset, not a complete identity. Most owners also need a color system, typography rules, application guidance, and the launch assets that carry the brand into the market.
Full branding packages commonly range from $5,000 to $12,000+ depending on deliverables, and standalone website design starts at $3,000, quoted individually after a scope discussion. I do not believe in a universal package. A therapist, an automotive shop, and a CBD product business need different assets and different decisions, and we identify yours on the call.
You do not need every creative decision made before reaching out. The most useful starting point is an understanding of your business, your audience, your goals, your competitors, your timeline, and the assets you think you need.
If you already have a sketch or concept, bring it. If you have nothing but a business name and a direction, that works too. Discovery is where those inputs turn into a clear creative direction. Book a consultation and we can start there.
You choose one designer when you want accountability, context, and someone who remembers the conversation you had three weeks ago. I provide a one-on-one custom design process rather than a crowdsourced concept marketplace where many designers race the same brief with no discovery call and no relationship.
Low-cost design often comes with weak communication, generic templates, unclear ownership, and work quietly resold to more than one business. I have seen ad creative sold to direct competitors.
